Play Therapy Adelaide
Resilient Play Therapy
Child-Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) is a therapeutic process that involves a collaborative relationship between the child and the play therapist in an enjoyable child-led approach. Children aged 3-10 particularly find this form of therapy beneficial.
In this approach, the child is given the freedom to explore issues—whether past or current, conscious or unconscious—at their own pace and according to their own agenda.
Play is regarded as the child's natural language, providing a medium through which they can express thoughts and emotions they might find difficult to articulate verbally.
This method allows children to communicate their inner experiences and challenges in a safe, supportive environment, facilitating emotional healing and growth.
